The Loss of Flow
You used to move freely.Wake up and go surf, roll, train, play — without warming up like an old truck engine. Now? It’s friction. Tight hips, sore back, barking knees, and a body that feels older than you are.
You take time off...it gets a little better...then it’s back.
The water, the mats, the court they’re still there.
You just can’t stay healthy. You’ve tried to fix it: PT, chiropractor, stretching, massage, but nothing sticks.
The Loop
You’re not lazy. You’re not broken.
You’re just stuck in a cycle no one’s shown you how to break.
Foam rolling, quick fixes, and “miracle drills” can’t fix what your body doesn’t trust.
The problem isn’t effort, it’s a nervous system running in defense mode.
The Turning Point
You don’t need another hack, you need a rebuild.
A system that restores your body’s safety, coordination, and strength from the inside out.
Because freedom isn’t lost; it’s just waiting for you to return.
The Movement Lab Method
A five-phase rebuild designed to retrain your body & nervous system from the inside out.
-

Assess
Evaluate your body & breath to determine where the experiment begins.
-

Stillness
Use breath to eliminate residual muscle tension & shift body to parasympathetic state.
-

Stack
Build the foundation. Restore structural Integrity & learn to move from core not extremities.
-

Spiral
Connect lower and upper body through rotation and transmit force from the ground without leaks.
-

Speed
Translate your rebuilt system into dynamic, expressive movement while maintaining the integrity from the first three phases.
MEET YOUR COACH
I’ve been an athlete my whole life — wrestling, college soccer, snowboarding, running, training. Movement was my identity. Then, in my late twenties, I shattered my ankle playing men’s league soccer in D.C.I got back to the things I loved, but never truly moved the same. Over time, I built subtle compensations and imbalances. They weren’t “bad,” but they caught up with me. A knee injury. Bad physical therapy (A LOT of this). A surgeon too eager to operate. I came back again, but this time everything felt off. Twisted. Forced. I was strong, but disconnected. Tight everywhere. So I started searching for answers. I studied biomechanics, breathwork, mobility, and the nervous system. I got certified in NASM, Functional Range Conditioning, Oxygen Advantage, Gymnastic Strength Training, Steel Mace Flow — and I devoured everything from Functional Patterns to somatics to GOATANearly ten years later, Jiu Jitsu pushed me to my edge: two sports hernias, two pulled hamstrings, but it also gave me clarity.I finally understood why my body was protecting itself, and how to teach it to trust movement again. Now I feel better at 38 than I did at 28. I can surf, train, and roll without feeling wrecked the next day.And that’s what I want for you: not just to fix pain, but to move freely again.
